Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, Kate Wylie (she/they) is an honors graduate of Webster University (c/o 2018) and holds an M.F.A. from Pacific University in Oregon (c/o 2023). Wylie was first published in the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans at the age of nine and received honorable mention for the River Styx Founders Award at seventeen. Her poetry became popularized while contributing to the Ehlers-Danlos society magazine Loose Connections.

Wylie is a Washburn-Hayes Merit Scholarship recipient and Pearson House Award winner. Her graduate thesis, Requiem for Daisyworld, was overseen by 2023 Guggenheim Award Winner Shara McCallum. Wylie serves as Literary Obituaries Editor for The Northwest Review and Professor of English at Webster University. Wylie's debut collection of poetry, The Ozark Mountain Equestrian Club for Dead Men, is out now with Powder River Press in Wyoming.
